For the GS 06:
One year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-05 grade level. Examples of specialized experience include:
performed standardized clerical duties supporting one or more specialists which involved creating and maintaining files for specialized program work and ensuring all pertinent information was included. Reviewed incoming documents to ensure they are in compliance with program guidelines. Prepared documentation for closing out specialized program files and managed records in accordance with retention requirements. For the GS 07:
One year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-06 grade level. Examples of specialized experience may include:
performed duties of varying complexity supporting specialists by monitoring, reviewing, and tracking actions required to manage specialized programs. Applied knowledge of specialized program policies and procedures to develop the files, recording all pertinent information, from initial start-up to close-out. Reviewed files for completeness and followed up on unfinished or inadequate documents. Contacted program managers, customers, and other related officials to obtain required information. Provided established detailed instructions and guidance on administrative and clerical activities related to specialized program processes. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
